Keep your eye on the ball: introducing the Daily Brief

A short, personalized morning email that tells you what changed and why it matters, in about two minutes.

Every morning there’s more news than anyone can read. Most of it doesn’t matter to your work. Some of it really does.

The Daily Brief is my answer: a short, personalized email that tells you what changed and why it matters, in about two minutes.

What you get

  • Five stories, max. Picked for relevance, not volume.
  • Smart Brevity format: headline, why it matters, one line of context, link.
  • Sections matched to what you care about: AI, operations, analytics, careers, Chicago, and Big Tech.

How it’s made

An automation pulls the day’s headlines. An AI agent sorts and drafts. Then I read every edition before it goes out. The machine does the gathering. I own the judgment.

I also feed the agent my own insights and point of view, so each edition carries my perspective, not just a summary.

Why I’m building it

I’ve spent years automating the repetitive parts of work, from Excel macros to AI pipelines. Staying informed is one of the last big chores most of us still do by hand, every day. It’s a good place to show how much time the right workflow can give back.

Who it’s for

Students, early-career analysts, and anyone working where technology meets operations who wants to stay sharp without living in their feeds.
